Jack Petchey Awards

We are proud to be part of the Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Award Scheme, which celebrates the achievements and potential of young people across London and Essex. The Foundation was established to inspire and motivate young people to do their best, recognise their efforts, and support them in reaching their full potential.
The Achievement Awards are not just about academic success; they recognise effort, resilience, teamwork, and personal growth. Students are often nominated by their peers, making the awards especially meaningful as they reflect the respect and appreciation of the school community.
At our school, we are delighted to celebrate six pupil winners and one staff winner each year. The pupil awards reflect a wide range of talents and contributions across the school, humanities, horticulture, sports, music, communication, and art. This ensures that all students have the opportunity to be recognised for their unique strengths and achievements.
All winners are invited to attend a special awards ceremony, where they are recognised alongside other young people from across the region. This prestigious event celebrates their success in front of family, friends, and the wider community. In addition, each award winner receives a certificate and contributes towards how a grant (typically around £300) is spent within the school, helping to fund resources, experiences, or projects that benefit other pupils.
The Jack Petchey Awards play an important role in our school by encouraging students to recognise and celebrate each other’s achievements, building confidence and aspiration, and promoting a positive and supportive school culture. We are incredibly proud of all our winners and the positive contribution they make to school life.
