Colourscape
Last week, our school took part in an extraordinary adventure through Colourscape, a unique blend of colour, music, space and sensory exploration. The event was full of creativity and learning.
Colourscape is a multi-sensory world that transforms the way pupils experience colour, sound, and space. The project combines vivid colour environments with contemporary music, movement and sound art. It’s a walk-in structure made up of interconnected domes and tunnels filled with vibrant, inflatable walls of red, blue, green, yellow, and more.
Inside the Colourscape structure, colour becomes a physical presence. The different colour chambers have distinct psychological effects — red felt warm and energising, blue was calming, green felt peaceful, and yellow made everything seem bright and joyful.
The Colourspace experience, also included music, where the sounds shifted from one space to another.
The inclusivity and accessibility of Colourscape allowed our pupils to attend sessions on site and at Clapham Common Park. This reflects Colourscape’s core aim — to offer shared experiences of wonder that break down barriers between people and forms of art.
