Heron Academy showcases its fantastic staff and students to the DfE
Two senior officials from the Department of Education visited staff and pupils at Heron Academy on Friday to find out more about the special school and its improvement journey.
Transition Information Event 2023
On Thursday 23rd November we held our first ever Transition Information Event. This event was for all of our post-16 parents. Present were community services who work with young people once they leave school.
Arts Council Collection – Take Two
The Heron community are very privileged to be taking part in the Take Two programme. Take Two brings world-renowned artwork from their collections directly into classrooms across the country. The programme has reached over 9,000 students, staff, visitors and parents.
A Trip to the Theatre Royal
This term Heron Academy's theme has been Magic, so we grab the opportunity to immerse pupils in the sceptical that is 'Frozen' at the Theatre Royal.
